AO Clinic

Messaging policy

How AO Clinic uses email, telephone and WhatsApp without unsolicited messaging.

Opt-in

AO Clinic initiates messages through WhatsApp or another electronic channel only after a person has supplied the contact details and clearly opted in to messages from AO Clinic. Service-message and marketing permissions are separate. Sending an enquiry does not create indefinite marketing consent.

Message categories

  • Service messages: an answer, confirmation of a requested action, a change to an agreed appointment or other information about a specific enquiry.
  • Information and marketing: news, offers and educational materials, sent only with separate prior consent.

Where the platform requires a template, a business-initiated message is sent only through an approved template and within the category selected by the recipient.

Opt-out

Reply “STOP”, request an opt-out in the chat, block the profile or use an official contact channel. The request is honoured whether made inside or outside WhatsApp. Marketing stops after opt-out; only messages necessary for an already requested service or a legal duty may remain.

Safety and health information

A messenger is not an emergency-care channel. Do not send medical records or detailed health information through a general chat. Call the local emergency service in an emergency. AO Clinic will not ask for a password, verification code or bank-card details in a message.

Data and complaints

A minimal record of the contact, opt-in category and opt-out may be retained to respect the recipient’s choice and prevent further marketing. See the privacy policy and the official contact details.
